The Shire of Seawinds invites one and all to join us as we choose our next Defenders.
Compete for the honor and glory in the following categories:
Chivlaric, Rapier, Archery, Arts and Science, Bardic and Gustatory

Our Current Defenders:
Chivalric: Kein MacEwan

Arts & Science: Brian O’hUilliam
Bardic: Padric O’Mullan
Gustatory: Eisengart & Isabelot de Forens

Competitions

Chivalric
Heavy Fighters, come test the limits of your skills in a variety of weapons forms.
Duke Kein MacEwan, our current Champion has designed a Chivalric Competition so cunning, it has weasel tails.


Arts & Science
Artisans, bring your best to compete in the Arts and Science Competition. Documentation is not required but recommended.
Set up will begin at 10 am in the hall, judging will begin at 11.


Bardic
Bards, the Bardic Competition will be held after feast around a campfire. Come regale us with song and story of the military sort.
Your performance should be intended to inspire, be it about victory, defeat or a draw.


Gustatory
The Gustatory Competition will be held during the Ladies’ Tea. Prepare something Sweet or Savory, finger foods of all sorts are welcome.
Documentation is not required. The Ladies attending the tea will judge the competition, so make them as fancy as you can.
Entrants must provide their own means of heating or preparing their entry as the kitchen will be in use for feast preparation.
There is table space in the hall and room for any ice chests that entrants wish to store out of the heat.

Stick Horse Tourney
The brains of Sir Henri & Lord Wayland unteathered!! Madness, mayhem and merriment abound!


But the fun does not stop there. Melees on Sunday!


Ladies' Tea

A Ladies’ Tea will be held in the afternoon with a promise of exciting entertainment.
All Ladies’ are invited to taste the best that our Gustatory competitors have prepared.
Bring your favorite teacup if you choose. Fancy, unusual, or teacups with a great story are welcome.

Feast is limited to 50 and will be served in the hall.
Reservations can be made by emailing HL Caitriona at prand@swbell.net.
Please include the names of all in your party that wish to reserve feast.

Site Information

The site opens Fri. at 4 pm closes Sun. at 5pm.

Adult Site Fee:  $10.00
Ages 6-17 Site Fee:  $7
Children five years old and under are free!
Feast is $8.00

Non-Membership charge will be $5.00.

Full RV hookup sites available for $20/day.
Contact the park (361-645-8003) to reserve a site or for more information.

Make checks payable to: SCA Inc. / Shire of Seawinds
Minors must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
They may also attend with a 21 year old or older adult with a signed
and notarized Minor Event Waiver Form from the parents.
Pets allowed with current vaccinations.
Above ground fires are permitted.
Site is wet in period container.



If anyone would like to volunteer to work gate, please contact the event stewards.

The event is being held at the Aranama RV Park of Goliad
2205 Alcalde De La Bahia, Goliad
Take your best route to Goliad, TX.
Take S Jefferson St/ 183. Turn onto FM 2441 for 1 mile.
Turn sharp right onto
Alcalde de la Bahia for 0.5 mile.
Look for signs.
